Box Elder Bugs can live inside your walls and behind siding when searching for winter hibernation. When the heat inside your home kicks in, sometimes they falsely perceive it to be springtime and enter your home in search of food and water. Typically in the spring they leave their winter hibernation and lay eggs on maple or ash trees.
